Dark Revolution Tap Room
We are super excited about the new brewery tap room opening. It's something we've wanted since we first started brewing but simply didn't have the space.
The new brewery site has a lot more room enabling us to be able to build a permanent tasting area at the bottom end of the site. The building itself is a great space. Light and airy with an amazing vaulted wooden beamed ceiling. This perfectly compliments the growing number of wooden wine and bourbon barrels in our ageing program, providing the perfect back drop to enjoy some super fresh Dark Revolution beers. Oli from With Bear Hands did an amazing job building us a bar and furniture from recycled wood too.
Initially we plan to open the tap room on Friday's and Saturday's although we may extend this if there's demand. The tap room will also be available for private functions.
We will be serving 10 beers with ever changing small batch beers alongside our more regular favourites. All beers will be available in 1/3 and 2/3rd pours allowing sampling of several beers without consuming too much, especially as some beers will be 9% +. There will also be the occasion cask and even beers direct from wooden vessels. The tap room will allow us to really showcase the range of beers that we are passionate about.
Being able to get instant feedback on new and experimental beers is something that is a really important part of this project. This will really help us tweak and improve development recipes. We are also really fired up to see beers like barrel aged Voodoo, Nitro Velveteen and many many more special one off's.
Although we are fairly close to Salisbury, we appreciate that some visitors will have to drive up so we are offering all beers in 1 L take out Crowlers.
What's a Crowler ?
It's basically a large can which we can fill direct from the tap then immediately seal keeping the beer fresh until you get it home. Not only are these a lot lighter weight than traditional glass growlers but they are also cheaper and light fast keeping the beer fresher for longer. We will also growlers fills to customer who already have them, just a long as they have a fill mark.
There will also be free, informal brewery tours and tastings as well as local, artisan food stalls from time to time. We will have a range of bar snacks as well as soft drinks and wine & ciders. for non beer loving friends although we will do our best to convert them!
Opening will be as soon as the new brew house has been installed. This is currently due for completion by the end of October.
